Tambuka Cocktail Ring

18ct gold & sapphires. Inspired by an African violet, Tambuka means 'blossom' in the Shona language of the Zimbabwean province where designer, Joanna Boyen grew up. 'Velvet' petals offset by a thorny band evoke golden, if savage, African summers ...... More details

This ring celebrates the particular feel of an African summer that you'll know if you've ever experienced it. Hot, a touch savage & very golden. The petals have been brushed from the centre outwards to create a velvet texture & highlight vivid pink, yellow & orange sapphires. A thorny band twines around your finger.

Flower diameter: 13mm. Sapphires: 3.5mm each. Total 0.6 carats

Handmade in London's Hatton Garden, like all biiju pieces, and hallmarked by the Goldsmith's Assay Office.

As seen in Grazia's stunning 'Wild Things' June 2015 feature.
